STIR FRIED CHI QUA

Translated from Chinese as "Hairy Melon", this stir-fried delicacy is a full bodied and perfect compliment to any meal. (Video - David Daniels cooks Asian Vegetables →)

Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 4 minutes

Ingredients (serves 2)
  • 1 small Chi Qua (chopped)
  • 1 red capsicum (chopped)
  • 1 clove crushed garlic
  • 2 tbs light Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbs sesame oil
Method
  1. Remove the small outer Chi Qua hairs with a paper towel.
  2. Heat Some oil in a wok and add the garlic -- cook until fragrant.
  3. Add Chi Qua and cstir fry until golden brown over high heat.
  4. Add capsicum right at the end.
  5. Add sauces & strir through.
  6. Garnish with chopped spring onions or chives.
